It’s been a busy week at Edward Worlledge, and the countdown has commenced, only 5 days to go!
Year 5 took part in an amazing experience this week, leaving the academy first thing and walking into town to watch the fantastic Grand Union Orchestra at the Minster in Great Yarmouth. All the children thoroughly enjoyed this unique visit, and had lovely weather for the walk both there and back.
Children from all year groups enjoyed a performance of Alice in Wonderland this week, this was a performance by a local theatre company which was followed up by workshops for children in years 5 and 6.
Our Club sign up is now live for your children to register for our new clubs after the Easter holidays. This term we are continuing with some of our classic clubs but are also hosting a variety of new clubs including healthy eating, playground games, athletics and tennis. Sign up closes on 4th April at 3:00pm, and you will receive a text message to alert you as to whether you child has been allocated a place or if they are on the reserve list.
We had another visit here this week at Worlledge, Years 1, 2, and 3 were part of an assembly hosted by the Goldfield Ensemble Orchestra – which is a performance consisting of a string quartet and puppet theatre show.
Year 6 have been honoured with new academy tradition today at Edward Worlledge, the presenting of our new ties. All pupils in Year 6 have been given one of these very special, smart ties.
